KARACHI, March 3: Residents of various localities continue to suffer due to intermittent power failures on Saturday.

A resident of the Karachi University campus said that power supply was suspended to the staff colony at 10.20am and restored at 1pm. He said that the area was not included in the notified power shutdown schedule, but even then the power supply to the locality got suspended.

A consumer from Federal B Area Block 4 said that power supply to his locality was suspended at 7pm and not restored till 7.40pm

Another complainant from Shershah said that power supply was suspended to his locality at 5pm and not restored till 7pm.

Complaints of power failures were also received from Mahmoodabad, Landhi, Sultanabad, North Karachi and Korangi Industrial Area.

Meanwhile, the KESC has announced shutdown for today stating that power supply may be interrupted from 9am to 5pm in the areas of Clifton, Frere Town, Dehli Colony, Saddar, High Court, Shahrah-i-Iraq, Keamari, Majeed Colony, Sikandarabad, Garden, Nishter Road, North Karachi’s Sector 6-B, 14-B, 15-A/3, 15-A/4, 11-A, 1-A/4, 7-A, Gadap, Landhi’s Sectors 36-B, 36-C, 36-G, 4-D, 37-A, 4-A and 4-B, Zamanabad Area, Gulshan Market, 5-C, 5-D Area, Dhobu Goth, Juma Goth, Korangi; 51-B, 51-C, Darul-Uloom, Korangi 6, Market Area, Ghalib Cinema, Chashma Goth and K area, Valika; ACL, Manghopir Sector 1-A/2, 1-A/4, 1-A/1, Poultry Estate, Arsalan Homes, Al-Ghazi Homes, Mari Goth, Leprosy Hospital, Hub Pumping Station, Khawaja Ajmair Nagri, Rasheedabad, Band Murad, Qasba Colony, Mianwali Colony, Islamia Colony and adjoining areas.
