Labourer shot dead

FAISALABAD, March 2: Robbers shot dead a labourer and injured another when they tried to foil a strike at their residence in Khurrianwala on Friday.

Reports said some robbers barged into a house rented out to labourers belonging to different cities. They tried to bag whatever valuable they found at the house, but labourers Altaf and Siddique put up resistance. Robbers shot dead Altaf and injured Siddique who was later hospitalised.

Meanwhile, five robbers entered Shaukat Ali’s house at Naimat Colony in the People’s Colony police station precinct.

They locked the family in a room and took away Rs20,000 in cash and gold ornaments.

ENMITY: A man was gunned down over enmity in the vicinity of the Factory Area police station on Friday.

Muhammad Zafar, of Muzaffar Colony, had enmity with Abid and Rashid. The latter two shot dead Zafar to exact revenge.
