ISLAMABAD: Rain, snowfall likely

ISLAMABAD, March 2: The Meteorological Office on Friday forecast rain and snowfall in the NWFP, Upper Punjab and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Weather would remain partly cloudy in the federal capital with chances of rain during the weekend.

The lowest temperature (-7ºC) was recorded in Kalam, while it was -3ºC in Quetta, said a statement issued by the Met Office. The minimum temperatures in some major cities were: Islamabad 6ºC, Lahore 9ºC, Karachi 15ºC, Peshawar 8ºC, Gilgit 2ºC and Muzaffarabad 6ºC.—APP
