KARACHI, Feb 23: Five ships carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

After a couple of lean days, berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where eight ships, Sagamore, Johar and Swat, oil tankers, Orient Independence, Oel Esteem, CMA CGM Victoria, Iran Sattari and Eric G. Gibson to unload and load containers were accommodated berths.

Five vessels, Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Moon, CMA CGM Victoria, Hartati and Conti Express departed on Friday, while Johar, Swat, Sagamore, Pac Antalia, Iran Sattari and Kot Perkasa are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.111m tons comprising 26,429 tons of export cargo and 84,107 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Bunga Delima, Wan Hai-311, Scan Atlantic, Soon Fu and Codco Lian Yun Gang all with containers.
