KARACHI, Feb 22: Six ships carrying containers and to load rice, petrol and ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Y.M. Faha, Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Moon to unload and load containers and Conti Express to offload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships which departed included Comorin Pride, APL Yokohama, Y.M. Faha, Cherry Star and Victory Ocean, while Y.M. Moon and Conti Express are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was light as the total tonnage handled amounted to 34,649 tons comprising 16,636 tons of export cargo including 3,570 tons of rice and 18,213 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Sunniva to load 6,500 tons of ethanol, Pantelena to load 10,000 tons of petrol, Corel to load 6,000 tons of rice, R.M. Dynasty to offload 30,000 tons of coal, Kota Perkasa and Pace Antlia with containers.
