PESHAWAR, Feb 12: A comprehensive plan has been chalked out with the assistance of the federal government for the rapid development of Lakki Marwat district and provision of basic necessities to people at their doorsteps, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Salim Saifullah Khan said here on Monday.

“Under the plan, gas, electricity and clean drinking water would be provided to all areas of Lakki Marwat during the current fiscal year,” said the minister while talking to a delegation of Ghazni Khel Lakki Marwat.

He said that Tajazai and Peezo gird stations are in the process of completion that would solve not only the low voltage but would also address the loadshedding problem in the district. He said the government is giving top priority to education and for this purpose efforts are underway for the establishment of a cadet college in Lakki Marwat.

While coming hard on the opposition, the minister said that the opposition did nothing for the welfare of the people and again they are trying to misguide people for their vested interests saying that they would not succeed as the people are politically matured.—APP
