Musharraf in Turkey

ANKARA, Feb 5: President Pervez Musharraf arrived on Monday in Ankara for a two-day visit during which Iraq, Afghanistan and a Muslim Mideast peace plan will be at the centre of his talks.

Musharraf flew in from Tehran, where he had met Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and was due to meet his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Necdet Sezer, the Anatolia news agency reported.

He has already held talks with the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates. On Tuessday, he is due to meet Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.—AFP
