Bank manager held by FIA

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Feb 3: The Federal Investigation Agency has arrested the manager of a local branch of Allied Bank following non-confirmation of his interim bail by the court in the fake Haj passports case.

The Quetta additional sessions judge on Saturday did not confirm the interim bail before arrest granted to Bakhat Ali Shah, manager of the bank, on December 27, 2006.

The prosecution opposed the confirmation of the bail stating that the accused in the case was involved in the processing of Haj applications of thirteen Afghan nationals on false Pakistani passport.
