Port Qasim

KARACHI, Jan 24: Two ships to load and offload containers and edible oil were allotted berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 70 per cent as nine ships, CSAV Ningbo, Nedlloyed America, Opal, Annie Sierra, Dredger Twin-1, Sea Luck-II and Fair Sprit, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, edible oil, canola seed and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 59,732 tons comprising 38,907 tons of import and 20,825 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were brisk as London, Sinar Agra, Sea Express, Venus-7 and Fair Sprit left the port, while Ningbo, Nedlloyed Americ and Opal were due to depart.
