By Our Correspondent

MUZAFFARGARH, Jan 15: District Nazim Sardar Qayyum Jatoi was not invited to the District Peace Conference on Monday. The meeting was held to discuss ways to maintain peace and promote harmony among the Muslims during Muharram.

Several clerics and top district officials attended the moot. The government and Mr Jatoi are at odds because Mr Jatoi belongs to the Pakistan People’s Party.

The public said that the government should have shown tolerance towards its political opponents. People asked how the government could create harmony among people when it was not ready tolerate its opponents.

Interestingly, the invitation card carried the name of the district naib nazim as guest but he failed to turn up.
