KARACHI, Jan 15: Apropos of a news item that appeared in Dawn on Jan 9, 2007, with the headline, 'CM, daughter go on signal violation spree,' Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the Punjab Chief Minister, has stated that he was not driving any vehicle and that the vehicle in which he was travelling was, as always, in the middle of his squad and there were many vehicles in front of his. The chief minister states that by any stretch of the imagination any violation of the traffic rules could not have been attributed to him.
