GUJRANWALA, Jan 10: The PML-N set up a protest camp in front of the district nazim office against the price hike and lawlessness here on Wednesday. Former federal minister and PML-N central vice-president Ghulam Dastagir Khan, former provincial minister Barrister Usman Ibrahim, former advisor Khurram Dastagir Khan and city president Abdul Rauf Mughal visited the camp and criticized the government policies.

They alleged that the government had misappropriated Rs150 billion in the Hero Card scheme.

PML-N leaders said the law and order situation was worsening by the day as the entire country was in the grip of dacoits and robbers.

Activists also chanted slogans against the government while a heavy police contingent was deployed there to avoid any untoward incident.

ARRESTED: A district council member was arrested by Model Town police after a local court rejected his interim bail in a case for issuing a fake cheque of Rs4.4 million.
