KARACHI, Dec 29: President of the Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF), Lt. Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani, said on Friday that no stone should be left unturned for staging the Jan 18-21 Asian Tour Pakistan Open in a befitting manner.
The PGF chief, who specially flew into the city from Islamabad, issued the directives to members of the organising committee of the upcoming competition while presiding over a meeting at the Karachi Golf Club (KGC).
The City Nazim Mustafa Kamal and DCO Fazlur Rehman were also present on the occasion.
While reviewing the progress made so far, he expressed satisfaction over the pace of work and commended the efforts put in by the members.
Offering his full support in making the event a success, the City Nazim said the event was of vital importance as it will enhance the image of the country.
Earlier, secretary PGF, Taimur Hassan, apprised the members about the development pertaining to Pakistan Open which carries lucrative prize money of US$300,000 and is being held for the second year running.
Vice-president KGC, Aslam R. Khan, captain KGC, Farooq Rehmatullah, secretary, Sindh Golf Association, Asad I. A. Khan, Commanding Officer PN Bahadur, Cdre Hashim and Capt Khalid Ali Anwar were prominent among others who attended the meeting.
