Karachi Regatta attracts top teams
KARACHI, Dec 19: Oarsmen representing 10 teams will vie for honours when the international Feara – Area Karachi Regatta begins at Chinna Creek on Wednesday.
The foreign teams have already reached here for the competition which is being held under the aegis of Karachi Boat Club (KBC).
The teams are Madras Boat Club, Calcutta Rowing Club, Lake Club of Calcutta, Bengal Rowing Club of Calcutta, Awadh Water Sports Club, Royal Connaught Club of Poona, Colombo Rowing Club, Lahore Boat Club and the hosts KBC.
Heats in different events will be held on the first three days starting from Wednesday at 7.30am while the event concludes on Dec 23.
Meanwhile, the draws were taken out at Managers meeting which was held at the venue on Monday.
