Punjab to compile data on foreigners

LAHORE, Dec 19: The Punjab government has set up a team to compile data on foreigners living in the province. A notification issued by the government said on Tuesday provincial home department’s special secretary would head the team and its members included the Punjab additional inspector of police (operations), Punjab special branch SSP (security), the IB deputy director general and the security director of the foreign security cell in the Interior Ministry, Islamabad.

Representatives from the Inter-Services Intelligence and Pakistan Rangers would also be its co-members, while the deputy director of the Punjab home department will be secretary of the team.

CONFISCATED: The government also said that it had confiscated all copies of a book written by Robert Spencer and published by Regency Publishing, Inc, Washington DC, along with its translation in any languages due to its ‘blasphemous’ material.
