PESHAWAR, Dec 19: NWFP Minister for Health Inayatullah has said that the provincial government is encouraging charity organisations and an amount of Rs100 million has been allocated for the assistance of such institutions in the province.

He was addressing as a chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of a maternity home established under the Alkhidmat Foundation at the Afghan Colony, Peshawar, on Tuesday.

The ceremony was also addressed by President of the Alkhidmat Foundation, NWFP chapter, MNA Shabbir Ahmad Khan, District Nazim of Upper Dir Sahibzada Tariqullah, Haji Shakirullah and President of Alkhidmat Foundation, Peshawar chapter, Hamidullah.

The health minister said that provision of health and educational facilities was the fundamental responsibility of the government.

“The charity organizations, by providing health, educational and other such facilities, are sharing the burden of the government,” he said.—PPI
