NAWABSHAH, Dec 17: Protesting against power outage, residents of 60-mile observed a shutter down strike and took out a rally against the Hesco officials for their failure in replacing a transformer, here on Sunday.

The shopkeepers closed their business on the call of Shehri Ittehad and took out a rally which started from bus stop and culminated at the local press club.

Raising slogans against Hesco, the leaders said that the transformer had developed a fault suspending power supply to the area.

They said that they reported the matter to Hesco officials who replaced the transformer but it again went out of order within hours. They said that the residents had been visiting the Hesco office daily but in vain.
