People affected by Diamer dam to get more benefits

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas Tahir Iqbal has assured that maximum benefits would be provided to the affected people of Diamer-Basha Dam.

While chairing the meeting of the resettlement and coordination committee of the proposed dam here on Saturday, the minister stated that rights of the people would be duly safe- guarded.

Mr Iqbal said that nine new residential areas equipped with the requisite facilities would be developed for the dislocated people.
