Pollock in sight of milestone

Published December 16, 2006

JOHANNESBURG, Dec 15: South Africa's Shaun Pollock took a step towards a personal milestone on the first day of the first Test against India on Friday. Medium pacer Pollock went into the match needing five more wickets to become the first South African to claim 400 victims in Tests.

Pollock moved one step closer to the mark in the fourth over before lunch when he had an indecisive Virender Sehwag caught behind by wicket-keeper Mark Boucher for four to reduce the visitors to 14 for two.—Reuters
