Man gunned down over monetary dispute

ATTOCK, Dec 14: A man was shot dead and another was injured over a monetary dispute at Fatehjang on Wednesday. Police said Azmat Hayat and Muhammad Iqbal had an exchange of hot words when the latter asked the former to return him Rs100,000. However, Azmat Hayat became angry and opened fire on Muhammad Iqbal and his colleague Arshad Mehmood injuring them seriously. They were being shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital when Arshad Mehmood succumbed to the injuries. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
