Pakistan women beaten again

LAHORE, Dec 14: Pakistani women cricketers suffered another big defeat when Sri Lanka outclassed them by seven wickets in the third Asia Cup in the Indian city of Jaipur on Thursday.

Pakistan, who were defeated by India by 80 runs on Wednesday, saw Sri Lanka chase a modest target of 148 with ease.

Taskeen Qadeer was Pakistan’s top scorer with a 90-ball 37 while Sana Mir scored an unbeaten 23.

S. Siriwardena, who took four for 34 in 10 overs, then struck 44 as Sri Lanka romped in the 43rd over. C. Polgampala (53 off 116 balls, three fours) also excelled.
