LARKANA, Dec 14: Opposing a PML proposal of dividing Sindh into two provinces, Rasool Bux Palijo the chief of Awami Tehrik (AT), said it was high time for Sindhis to wake up and resist the conspiracy.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said it would cast no impact on Punjab even if divided into ten or more provinces. It would not change its (Punjab's) overall political and economic nomenclature, as they had been together for years historically and possessed same psyche, he said.
Sindh, which had already practically been enslaved, would suffer, Palijo said.
Manoeuvring only to cover 'the move' ornamentally with legal and constitutional elements, he said, was going on and feared creation of 'Jinnahpur' which ultimately would be dished out to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
