KARACHI, Dec 12: A delegation of educationists will visit the United States next month to examine its community school education system and determine to what extent it was suitable for Pakistan.

The delegation would suggest ways to improve education system in Sindh and Balochistan.

This was stated by the US ambassador to Pakistan, Mr Ryan C. Crocker, while addressing the Institute of Business Administration’s alumni at the residence of Consul General Mary H. Witt.

He also announced setting up of a centre of entrepreneurial excellence with American assistance at the IBA. A feasibility study conducted at the behest of the US State Department was being finalised to set up the centre. He said the centre would mark symbolic revival of the US relations with the IBA which was established with its funding in 1955.

The ambassador disclosed that Washington was working to finalise bilateral investment treaty with Pakistan that would usher a new phase of bilateral economic relations leading to the FTA.

Speaking on the occasion, Director IBA Mr Danishmand gave an overview of the working and achievements of IBA.
