Aziz, Alwaleed meet

RIYADH, Dec 12: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Prince Alwaleed bin Talal on Tuesday discussed investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The discussion took place at a reception given in honour of the prime minister and his entourage by the Saudi billionaire. During the meeting, the prime minister informed the prince that the inflow of foreign direct investment in Pakistan had crossed $3 billion, which was steadily increasing because of “investor-friendly economic policies”.

Mr Aziz informed the prince about the economic gains achieved during the past few years and said that Pakistan was doing well in the international bond market.

He said there was a large scope for investment in diverse areas in Pakistan, including construction, infrastructure, banking, tourism, hotel industry and other sectors.—APP
