LAHORE, Dec 2: Two people were murdered in different incidents in the city on Saturday. Two people shot dead their brother over a petty dispute in Naseerabad area .
Police said Mohsin Mehmood Butt, 45, Qasim Butt and Tahir Butt were living in their 12-kanal house (25-A-I, Gulberg III) in two divided portions.
They said Mohsin wanted to build a new sewerage system for his two-storey portion, while his brothers did not agree to his plan.
On Saturday, at around 9am, three brothers exchanged hot words over the `issue’, as a result of which Qasim and Tahir opened fire on Mohsin.
The injured, with two bullet wounds, died while he was being rushed to the Services Hospital.
The police removed the body to city morgue for autopsy. A case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of Wajiha Mohsin, the deceased’s wife.
Mohsin was survived by wife and one-and-a-half year old daughter.
In the other incident, four people gunned down their rival in Shadbagh area.
Police said Asif Nazir, along with his family members, was on a morning walk near his 77-Nabi Baksh Park residence when four armed motorcyclists led by Rasheed Gujjar intercepted them at around 6:30am.
They opened fire on Rasheed from a close range and escaped from the scene. Asif died while being rushed to a hospital.
The accused and his two brothers had allegedly killed Asif’s brother Imran Nazir in 1997, and since then they were pressurising Asif for withdrawal of murder case.
The police removed the body to the city morgue and registered a case against three brothers and their accomplice Shahbaz Shah on the complaint of Saqib Nazir, the deceased’s brother.
Asif, who was survived by six children, was doing garment business along with his brother Saqib Nazir.
