Eight kidnapped in Fata

PARACHINAR, Nov 25: Armed men raided a cluster of houses in Khafyanga, Lower Kurram Agency, on Friday night and kidnapped eight people, residents and officials said.

Officials told Dawn in Parachinar, the agency headquarters, on Saturday that armed men with long hair, driving pick-up trucks raided houses in Khafyanga close to the North Waziristan Agency and whisked away eight residents.

Sources said that political authorities had sought assistance from the political administration of the North Waziristan Agency and authorities in Thall tehsil of Hangu district to recover the kidnapped people.
