Varsity campus in Hangu soon

KOHAT, Nov 23: The Kohat University of Science and Technology (Kust) will soon open its campus in Hangu for making higher education easily accessible to the people of Orakzai Agency, Kurram Agency, and other backward areas, said official sources on Thursday.

A summary to this effect had been prepared, and would be sent for approval to Governor Ali Mohammed Jan Aurakzai, said the sources.

They said that a meeting held here recently decided to select a suitable place for the campus with the help of local administration, once the project was formally approved by the governor.

Chaired by acting vice chancellor of Kust Abdus Sattar Khan, the meeting was attended by district coordination officer of Hangu Fakhre Alam, additional secretary higher education Gul Zeb, executive officer of Pesco in Kohat Kashif Marjan, director education in Fata Fazal Manan and Kust director planning Iqbal Mohammad.

It is also learnt that the governor had given an informal go-ahead for the establishment of Kust campus in Hangu.
