KARACHI, Nov 22: The Customs preventive collectorate on Wednesday seized 400-tola gold, worth Rs6 million, from a passenger arriving from Dubai.
According to the Customs spokesman, customs staff during routine checking intercepted a passenger Abdul Rehman who was coming from Dubai by a PIA fight. The body search yielded in recovery of 400-tola gold in shape of 10-tola slabs concealed in the pockets of trousers. The gold was seized and the passenger was held.
In another seizure, the Pakistan Coast Guards recovered 220kg hashish.
According to the PCG, the coast guards on a tip off intercepted a Pajero near a roadside hotel on Super Highway. On search, 174 packets (220kg) of hashish were recovered. Two drug traffickers were taken into custody.
