KARACHI: KU convocation rescheduled

KARACHI, Nov 21: The University of Karachi will issue fresh invitation cards to graduates for its annual convocation which has now been scheduled for December 9, it was learnt officially.

The registrar of the university, Prof M Rais Alvi, said on Tuesday that the invitation cards issued to the graduates concerned earlier for the convocation scheduled for September 9 had become invalid and new cards would be issued to those who had already registered themselves for attending the convocation on submission of original NIC or enrolment card with a photo copy.

Graduates concerned have been advised to collect their respective cards from December 2 to 4 from 10am to 1 pm at the Silver Jubilee gate of the university.

Rehearsal for the convocation will be held on December 8 at 9.30am at Valika Ground of the university.

In the meantime, the KU Department of Computer Science has announced the results of PGD (CIS) entry test. Closing final percentage of selected candidates is 71.75, said a notification, adding that the selected candidates should appear for interviews on November 22 at 4pm at the department.
