Pakistan hockey team wins friendly

KARACHI, Nov 18: Goals from Imran Warsi and Tariq Aziz helped Pakistan thrash a local hockey team 7-0 in a practice match at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium here on Saturday.

Warsi converted two penalty corners while Tariq scored as many field goals to defeat the team comprising Habib Bank and KESC players.

Other goal-scorers were Shakeel Abbasi, Rashid Imran and Mudassar Khan.

It was the last practice match of the Pakistan team before next month's Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.—PPI
