Railway line blown up near Mach

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Nov 16: The train link between Quetta and the rest of the country was suspended when suspected militants blew up the main rail track near Mach, some 70km east of here, late on Thursday night.

According to railway authorities, a two-foot-long railway track was blown up between the Mach and Hirak railway stations.

“We will try to complete repair work by Friday morning,” an official of the Pakistan Railways told Dawn. He added that Quetta-bound trains would be stopped at Sibi till the repair work was done.
