Hearing in oil contract case adjourned

By Our Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Nov 16: A two-member bench of the Supreme Court on Thursday adjourned till December the hearing of an appeal against delay in awarding contracts for development of two oil and gas fields in Sindh.

The petitioners have moved the apex court against the decision of the Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi bench, rejecting their application to be awarded the contracts for being the lowest bidder through a short verbal order on September 27, 2006.

They also challenged award of the contracts by the Oil and Gas Development Company to the second lowest bidder for execution of the two projects in Sinjhoro and Tando Allah Yar.
