KARACHI, Nov 16: Two Matches were decided in the PSCB-HBL Inter-School cricket championship on Thursday.

In the first match played at the KCCA Stadium, Beaconhouse Gulshan-i-Iqbal campus defeated Civil Aviation Authority School by four wickets.

CAA School, batting first, were dismissed for 119 in 24.4 overs with Hamza Khan (23) emerging as the top scorer. Shazul Haq (3 for 4) and Mehdi Haider (2 for 20) were the successful bowlers.

In reply, Beaconhouse reached the required target of 120 for the loss of six wickets in 28.4 overs.

Shazul Haq was named Man of the Match by match referee Mr Ilyas Khan.

In the second match, played at the TMC Ground, EAB-GBSS Metrovill School defeated Moon Star School by 9 wickets.

Moon Star School were out for only 35, thanks to fine bowling from Hayat Khan (4 for 2) and Fawad Khan (3 for 7).

In reply EAB-GBSS Metrovill scored the required 36 runs for the loss of only one wicket. Hayat Khan was named Man of the Match by match referee Mazhar Alam.—Agencies
