Diabetes Day observed

PESHAWAR, Nov 16: A meeting of the International Diabetes Foundation is scheduled to be held next month in South Africa, in which experts from around the globe will help evolve a comprehensive strategy regarding prevention, control and cure of the disease.

Hayatabad Medical Complex diabetes department chief Dr Azizul Hassan Amir said at a conference held here to mark the World Diabetics Day on Thursday that there were more than 200 million diabetes patients in the world and the number might increase to 400 million in 15 to 20 years.—APP
