By Our Correspondent

SUKKUR, Nov 15: Ten carriages of a Sibi-bound goods train derailed near the Sukkur railway station on Wednesday night. As a result, passenger trains on Quetta-Khanewal and Quetta-Karachi sections were late by several hours.

Railways officials said that work had been started but it would take several hours to restore the rail traffic.

The affected passenger trains are: 70-down Sukkur Express, 31-up Balochistan Express, 40-down Jaffer Express, 24-down Quetta Express and 32-down Balochistan Express.

The goods train was loaded with stone crush and was coming from Rohri.
