KARACHI, Nov 14: Angler Zeeshan Paracha of Team No 3 was declared the champion of the 15th Arabian Sea Sportsfishing Tournament when he landed 21.5 kg Tuna. The tournament, which concluded here on Sunday, was contested by 60 Anglers on 23 boats.

The main hunting grounds searched by anglers for fish were Kannup Power House, Cape Montze Light House, Nancowry Shoal, Beauchamp Reef, Churna Island, Hayat Ka Pathar, Hubco Power Plant and Kaio Island. Some ventured down to the 200 meters drop off at the Continental Shelf beyond Churna Island, searching for Mahi Mahi and Big Tuna.

Angler Muhammad Shamim of Team 22 was runner-up for landing a 20.5 kg Tuna while the third position was grabbed by angler Shan Agha of Team 14 for landing a 20.25 kg Tuna.

The Arabian Sea Sportfishing Tournament was organized by Agha’s Sportfishing. Sportsfishing veteran Aziz Agha officiated as Tournament Director.—Agencies
