Goya painting stolen

NEW YORK, Nov 14: FBI agents are hunting thieves who stole a $1 million Goya painting while it was being transported from Ohio to New York's Guggenheim Museum.

The 1778 painting of “Children with a Cart”, by Spanish artist Francisco de Goya y Lucientes, was stolen sometime last week while being transported through Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The FBI is leading the investigation into the theft of the painting, which is part of a collection of the Toledo museum and was insured for over $1 million, the museums said.—Reuters
