Hasnain shines but KESC take lead

KARACHI, Nov 9: Fiery KPT medium-pacer Muhammad Hasnain snapped-up five wickets but failed to stop KESC from taking a 56-run first innings lead on the second day of their three-day Patrons Cricket Trophy grade-II match at PCB Academy ground on Thursday.

Talented Hasnain finished with excellent figures of 5-53 in 17.1 overs as KESC responding to KPT’s first innings score of 208, were bowled out for 264 in 82.1 overs.

By draw of stumps, KPT crawled to 17 for no loss in 14 overs in their second innings. Portmen are still 39 runs behind with all their ten wickets in hand.

Right-handed Fazal Subhan fashioned a superb 75 with nine boundaries in and left-handed Muhammad Fahim scored a subdued 56 in 221 minutes with just three hits to the fence.
