ISLAMABAD Nov 8: The government condemned the Dargai suicide attack and declared that such incidents would not deter it from taking pre-emptive actions, such as the Oct 30 air strike on a Bajaur seminary, and from the war on terrorism.
Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Mohammad Ali Durrani said: “Intelligence reports made available so far reveal that the suicide bombing had a direct link with the Bajaur incident which makes it abundantly clear that the said seminary was a suicide training den and political parties had unleashed propaganda against the government’s action only for political mileage”.
Asked whether the government would convene an all parties conference to evolve a strategy for curbing such acts of terrorism, he said all political parties must change the attitude of drawing political mileage from the pre-emptive actions taken by the government.
The minister said that the ages of those killed had been taken from their identity cards.
