GILGIT: Transfer of tax money stopped

GILGIT, Nov 6: The Northern Areas Chief Court has granted an interim injunction to the Northern Areas Importers and Exporters Association in connection with the transfer of money collected at the rate of one per cent for the Kohistan Development Fund which is being levied on goods imported from China.

The sources said that the court had ordered the National Bank to cease the account of the Kohistan Development Fund with an amount of over Rs 11 million and the same should not be transferred to the Kohistan district administration till a final decision was made.
