Wasim Bari grieved

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 31: Dilawar Khan, father-in-law of Wasim Bari, the chairman of national selection committee, died of cardiac arrest here on Tuesday. He was 82. Mr Khan, who was a businessman, was laid to rest at Defence graveyard after his Namaz-i-Janaza was held at Masjid-i-Usman, Old Seaview after Asr prayers.

Meanwhile, a scheduled meeting on Wednesday in Lahore between the PCB chairman, national captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and the selectors was cancelled following the death of Bari’s father-in-law.

Bari said he would meet the chairman and Inzamam in a couple of days, but added, the discussion about 18 probables for the coming series against West Indies had almost been finalized and the names were likely to be announced on Wednesday.
