By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Oct 29: Three-goal Usman Haye helped Adisseo carve out a 5 1/2-3 win against Guard Rice in the PPL Polo Cup on Sunday.

Playing with 1 1/2 goal handicap, the winners led the first chukker 2 1/2-0 as Usman drew first blood. The losers reduced the margin 2 1/2-1 when two-goal Taimur Ali Malik banged home his first in the second chukker.

In the early stages of third chukker, Babar Monnoo brought Guard Rice close to the rivals 2 1/2-2, scoring on a field attempt. But Usman struck back-to-back goals to make it 4 1/2-2.

The fourth chukker saw Taimur again reducing the margin (4 1/2-3) for the losers, converting a pass from Irfan Ali Hyder. But Bilal Haider Agha put the matter beyond Guard Rice’s reach scoring a field goal in the dying minutes.

Four-goal Azhar Ali enabled Free Lancers to beat Lindt Chocolate 6 1/2-3.

Arshad added one goal for the winners, who had 1 1/2 goal handicap.

For the losers, Ahmad Zubair (2) and Omar Farooq (1) were the scorers.
