KARACHI: CM for urgent measures to control dengue


KARACHI, Oct 27: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, taking a strict notice of the cases of dengue fever, has directed the concerned heads, including those of health department, to take measures on an emergency basis to control spread of the virus.

Effective campaigns, he said, be launched while sprays be undertaken in cities and villages to immediately contain the number of dengue affected cases, he stated in a statement.

Dr Arbab instructed the concerned departments, besides all nazims and elected representatives, to play their active role.

He also appealed to the people to extend maximum cooperation to the government and adopt all precautionary measures and play their role for the success of steps being taken to eradicate the dengue virus.

Meanwhile, the chief minister exhorted upon the officers of Sindh government to make every possible effort for the resolution of public problems giving no regard to any pressure they may be facing in this connection.

He was speaking to secretaries of Sindh at the CM House.
