KARACHI, Oct 19: A fine all-round performance by Kamran Hussain helped Customs CC enter the semi-finals of the 21st Karachi Gymkhana-AKD Ramazan cricket tournament with a thrilling four-run victory over Pak Gymkhana on Thursday.

Kamran scored an unbeaten 28 off 25 balls and later claimed two for 20 with his left-arm seamers as Pak Gymkhana were dismissed for 136 while chasing 141 in the last quarter-final fixture at the KG Ground.

Javed Qadeer shone for the losers with a defiant 54-ball 50, which included four boundaries, before he was run out.

Besides Kamran, Rizwan Akbar took two for 36 and Ali Azmat two for 22.

Earlier, opener Hasnain Abbas slammed 36 off 22 balls as Customs CC made 140 for six after winning the toss.

Customs CC now meet PIA Academy in the first semi-final on Friday. The other semi-final on Saturday features Pak PWD and AKD XI.
