‘My services can be utilised better’

By A Correspondent

JAIPUR, Oct 18: Pakistan star all-rounder Abdur Razzaq, who played a stellar role in his team's four-wicket victory Sri Lanka in their opening Champions Trophy encounter here on Tuesday, feels he is not properly utilised in Tests or the One-day Internationals.

"This is my personal feeling that I am not properly utilised in the Tests or the ODIs. But I also know the requirements of the captain and know how to manage these things."

Razzaq, who has played numerous match-winning knocks for Pakistan, said the victory over Sri Lanka had a special significance because “such victories lift the morale of the team and it has boosted the confidence of the boys.”

“Given the circumstances, if we had lost the match it would have had a demoralising effect on the team," he said

When asked whether he was under pressure in the absence of strike bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif, Razzaq replied that international cricket was all about pressure.
