Duo axed on disciplinary ground

By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Oct 18: Two wrestlers, Usman Ali Butt and Umar Butt, were axed for the forthcoming Asian Games, by Iranian coach Agha Ghulam Reza on disciplinary ground.

However, it could not be known actually what sort of code of conduct the wrestlers breached.

Usman and Umar along with Farooq, Bashir Bhola Bhala, Usman Majeed and Ghulam Haider claimed six gold medals for Pakistan in the last South Asian Games in the absence of Indian wrestlers.

Apart from Usman and Umar, Farooq will not be available for Dec 1 to 15 Asian Games in Doha.

Meanwhile, Bashir, Usman Majeed and Ghulam Haider left for Iran on Wednesday for a month-long training for the Games.
