ISLAMABAD, Oct 18: A 10-year-old girl was killed after being hit with a wooden stick by her neighbour, police said here on Wednesday. The police said a fight broke out between Karishma Bibi, 10, and Natasha Bibi, 8, when they were playing on the roof of the latter’s house at Hansa Colony in Sector G-8.

On hearing the shouts of the two children, Natasha Bibi’s father — Mubarak Masih — rushed to the roof where he hit Karishma’s head with a wooden stick. The girl suffered critical wound and ran towards her house with profuse bleeding.

The injured girl’s father, Ishaq Masih, took his daughter to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) where she died.

The police have registered a murder case against the accused, who is on the run.
