KARACHI: Remand extended

KARACHI, Oct 17: The police on Tuesday obtained further remand of alleged gangster Arshad Pappu till Oct 21, in five cases of attempt to murder, police encounter, illegal weapon and explosive substance case.

Arshad Pappu was arrested by the CID with his accomplice on Oct 11 following a raid and encounter at his house at Lyari.

Police also recovered two kalashnikovs, a hand-grenade and two-loaded magazines from their possession. Police said Arshad is wanted in more than 60 cases. The government had also placed a head money of Rs3 million on him.—PPI
