Tribal feud claims six lives

QUETTA, Oct 14: Six tribesmen were killed and three others injured after rival tribesmen opened indiscriminate fire on them in the Zehri area of Khuzdar district on Saturday.

According to sources, a group of armed Jamalzai tribesmen, a sub-clan of the Zehri tribe, opened indiscriminate firing on their rivals belonging to the same clan, as they were offering prayers in a mosque in Killi Jamalzai.

“Six tribesmen, including a father and son, died instantaneously,” officials said. They said that the mosque’s imam was also among the dead.

Four other perople received were injured who were taken to the Civil Hospital in Khuzdar. Their condition is stated to be serious.

The incident was attributed to an old feud, according to a police officer in Khuzdar.
