WASHINGTON, Oct 14: Two Pakistanis are expected to reach home by Sunday after being released with 17 other detainees from the United States military prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Pentangon said there were 16 Afghan and one Iranian captives among those ordered released.

Six other Pakistanis held at the Bagram airbase in Afghanistan are also to be released this week.

The release follows a US military investigation which concluded that the detainees were no longer a security threat. After the releases, five Pakistanis will remain in Guantanamo Bay.
